I offer all new clients a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your difficulties and see how we can work together. We can also answer any questions you might have about taking therapy outside.
Meeting in a natural space, we might engage in walking or a game/activity designed to work on one of your goals. We also might just find a spot to sit and take it all in. Depending on your goals, our discussions might centre around mindfulness, DBT and emotion-focused approaches.
Often, it is important to have a first meeting virtually in order to plan for a nature-based session. Beyond that, virtual sessions can be convienent, and you might prefer this way of connecting. We can still incorporate activities and nature into our sessions.
Maybe your loved one is struggling, but not ready to engage in therapy right now, or maybe they are well supported but you still feel stuck in your interactions. Research has shown that caregivers can be extremely impactful in supporting their loved-ones mental health.
Does your child or teenager cringe at the thought of attending therapy in an office? Do you notice that they are more "themselves" outside? Through individual and/or family sessions, we can help to address the struggles that may be holding your loved-one or family back, in an engaging and memorable way.
Do you ever notice how you think differently when you are outside, or wonder if screens and technology are contributing to your difficulties? If you want to try another way of therapy, or are looking to connect with someone who recognizes and harnesses the benefits of nature, we should talk.
